Heartstep Foundation, Inc is a USA registered non-profit public charity (501 c3) established to facilitate community projects that directly benefit the elderly, orphans, terminally ill and the underprivileged. We aim to utilize a community network of people that have hearts to help by matching their abilities, services, gifts or time with people that have desperate needs.

Heartstep also coordinates unique community projects to assist with disaster relief and undefined needs as they arise within our communities.

We accept donated items (new or in “like-new” condition) and we distribute them “free of charge” to meet specific needs as they arise. We screen requests from the community to match those in need with those who can help.

The focus of the foundation is to meet the needs of people who cannot help themselves asking for nothing in return extending across denominational boundaries making an impact on the community and the country. Heartstep is not funded by the government; our support is derived solely from the generosity of local businesses and volunteers. For us to be effective and continue to reach out to the poor and elderly in our community, we need your support. All contributions are 100% Tax Deductible.

We are hoping that you will reguarly review the needs that are posted on this site from our community. And, if you see a situation or a need that fits your skills, ability or appeals to your heart, please let us know if you can help.

We have partnered with WSPA channel 7 and the YOUR CAROLINA program to develop the “Hearts for Hope” Network. We will utilize our website (www.heartstep.org) and our facebook group to post needs from the community which have been screened by Heartstep leadership committees. Jack and Kimberly of the YOUR CAROLINA program are encouraging viewers to email in nominations (on the www.heartstep.org website) of people that need help. The needs can be for anything from groceries, heat, clothing, repairs, special requests and anything in between. As long as it is a valid and critical need.

When we all do our part, individually it may seem small, but together we will make a tremendous impact.
